For one of our clients, a Western European IT company with a market-leading SaaS-Solution for a specific niche in eCommerce, we are currently searching for a capable and motivated

TECHNICAL WRITER

for their team. Remote positions for Sofia or Varna (fully remote option).

Responsibilities:

  • Create internal and external facing documentation for various audiences (e.g. user, API developer)
  • Prepare material for training, including videos, demos, and tutorials
  • Publish release notes to internal and external stakeholders on a weekly basis
  • Maintenance of existing docs

What we expect:

  • Strong IT background, ideally an experienced software developer
  • Strong writing and technical editing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
  • At least two years of experience as a Technical writer or similar
  • Perfect command of English
  • Capable of creating API documentation for NET APIs
  • Experience working within IT Development, SaaS, or web-based technology environment would be beneficial, as well as a track record as a Software Product Trainer
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development teams

RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER

for their new team (several positions available). Workplace will be in the center of Sofia.

Responsibilities:

  • Decoupling the Front-End from a classic Rails application and turning it into an API only application.
  • Writing high quality DRY code using the TDD principles
  • Reviewing your colleagues work

What we expect:

  • Ruby on Rails
  • Relational databases SQL (clever JOINS and subqueries whenever required)
  • TDD (with RSpec, MiniTest or Capybara)
  • Source Control with Git and GitLab with various flows
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Beneficial would be a solid understanding of APIs with a REST-ful architecture or GraphQL
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (like AWS, Heroku, Digital Ocean, etc.)
  • In-memory data stores (Redis, Memcached)
  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development process rounds up your profile

Our client is a mid-sized software development company, working for German clients in the public sector (no outsourcing, but for their own software products on a very long-term basis).

We are looking for several

SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS WITH COBOL

for a new team. Essential is a basic knowledge of COBOL and the availability to work in Sofia/Bulgaria on a long-term basis. Our client’s software has already been successfully implemented with a number of clients and you will be able to count on the support of experienced teammates and time-tested work procedures.

Your tasks:

  • Perform tasks assigned by our client in the field of software for management and processing of specialized administrative processes.
  • You are programming on COBOL.
  • Perform quality assurance tests before delivery to the customer.
  • Language skills in Bulgarian, English or German

Your profile:

  • Knowledge and professional experience of COBOL programming
  • Sound understanding of related Client-server technologies
  • Experience in working with SVN
  • Basic knowledge of Database administration (MS-SQL / Oracle)
  • Working experience with networks, protocols (TCP / IP) and standards (XML), ideally with Microsoft Windows Server
