Our client is is a leading international distributor of specialty chemicals and functional ingredients, serving industrial manufacturers across Europe and beyond. The company provides technical solutions and expertise for applications in coatings, adhesives, construction, food, cosmetics, and other industries.
We are looking for an experienced
Technical Sales Chemist (Food sector)
to join the company's team in Bulgaria.
Area of specialization: Raw Materials – Food sector
Responsibilities:
- Commercial and technical partner for manufacturers in the Coatings, Adhesives and Construction industries.
- Manage and expand a portfolio of industrial chemical raw materials (resins, additives, fillers, pigments, functional materials).
- Develop long-term partnerships with industrial customers, understanding their processes, formulations and performance requirements.
- Translate customer needs into value-adding technical solutions, in close collaboration with leading international suppliers.
- Identify new business opportunities, manage negotiations and drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Support customers with application know-how, product positioning and technical problem-solving.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape and regulatory developments affecting industrial applications.
- Actively contribute to company’s strategic growth in the Industrial Raw Materials sector.
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Working experience in Sales of Raw Materials Distribution or Raw Materials Producers, or in R&D, or in Production of manufacturers' plants of the relevant business industry.
- English language: B2 or upper. Able to write, speak and understand normal business talk & presentations.
- Experience with chemicals used in food manufacturing
- Commercial mindset combined with strong technical credibility.
- Ability to engage confidently with R&D, production and procurement teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with CRM / ERP systems is an asset
- High achiever, with a proven track record in reaching targets, able to identify customer needs and translate them into business opportunities.
- PC literacy (MS Office, Internet).
- Driving license & willingness to travel within assigned territory
