They are committed to creating a stimulating learning environment that nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For that goal we are seeking a versatile and dedicated <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Senior Java Software Engineer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">to join their team in Bulgaria (from their Sofia office, hybrid or remote).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Senior Java Software Engineer role is ideal for an experienced candidate ready to drive a transition to a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture on AWS for a K-12 math education platform. This role involves adopting modern technologies while ensuring the platform supports versioning, publishing, and deep analytics to enhance student learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mentor your colleagues to build a scalable architecture, promote best practices, and deliver high-quality software in alignment with educational goals.Implement analytics to track student progress and collaborate on math engines for creating, rating, and solving problems, driving adaptive learning features.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead the migration to a Java microservices architecture on Kubernetes in AWS, utilizing GraphQL for efficient data handling and Terraform for infrastructure as code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee the entire SDLC from planning to CI\/CD deployment, ensuring test automation and reliability at scale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and analytics teams, providing clear updates and aligning engineering with the educational mission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A stable work history with at least a few periods of 3 years of continuous employment with the same employer in IT industry - mandatory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in a product software company - mandatory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5+ years of Java and Spring Boot expertise for microservices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AWS and Kubernetes experience; Terraform for infrastructure automation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in SQL and ideally Hibernate for data persistence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of CI\/CD and test automation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on engineering expert with strong Java skills, cloud-native architecture experience, and a passion for improving K-12 math education.
